Step Four

The Interview:

Securing an internship may be competitive. Students will be interviewed and selected, or not, by the placement site staff. If the position is paid, pay is set by the organization to be commensurate with an entry-level position or base pay for a position of the type of work being performed. Based on this, the Interview is a vital part of the process.

Interview tips:

  1. Research the company

  2. Practice your answers to common interview questions.

  3. Study the job description.

  4. Recruit a friend to practice answering questions.

  5. Be prepared with a resume.

  6. Plan your interview attire the night before.

Internship Interview Evaluation Form is provided to worksite supervisors to utilize during internship interviews. The interview ratings are used to select the best candidate for the internship.
